Overview

We Are a charitable organization that exists to end stress and homelessness among women veterans disadvantaged, disabled, at-risk veterans and their families. We provide socioeconomic support, resources, and access to alternative solutions. We do this through a team of motivated and committed staff, volunteers, and interns to help provide and change one home and one life at a time.

We established our partnerships through building relationships with veteran friendly organizations for the promotion of community-based programs and services that help to prevent homelessness among veterans or those who are at-risk. Our services are exemplary in patriotic support, because half of our staff and volunteers served in a branch of the Uniformed Services. The problem with homeless veterans is increasingly noticeable, and yet, veterans still face challenges in today's complex job market. As a result, it usually leads to becoming an at-risk veteran or facing homelessness.

Women Veterans

While every woman’s transition from service to civilian life is unique, many female veterans find this life-change isolating for a number of reasons. There is growing awareness of the trauma, sexual assault, and mental health concerns faced by women who have served in the military. Designed and informed by women service veterans this transformational program offers women veterans and civilian women the mental health counseling and critical wellness tools needed to overcome emotional barriers that can be easily accessed through unique counseling and resources.

Mental Health & Wellness

Veterans transitioning into civilian life often experience great difficulty and stress during their adjustment. Many times, those difficulties are due to combat-related traumatic events which, if left untreated, could cause serious obstacles to stability and prosperity in civilian life. Family Youth offers free counseling and treatment services designed to address the unique needs of each client in a safe and confidential environment. Please contact us if you need mental health and wellness services.

The Family Youth Center is committed to ending veteran homelessness nationwide.
